ABOUT
Monica Remes holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor degree in Cinema Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she also worked in video production for the Illinois Department of Dance. Immediately upon graduating in December 2012, Monica spent a semester on Adjunct Faculty at UIUC teaching Modern, Hip Hop, and Tap.
She received her Graduate Certificate in Screendance from the University of Utah in 2015 and became a Certified Professional User of Final Cut Pro X.
Monica was a freelance videographer, video editor, and professional performer in Salt Lake City, Utah from 2013-2016. She performed, choreographed, and taught for multiple dance and theater companies which also began her journey with social media marketing and creation. She is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
Since living in Los Angeles, Monica has really been able to dive into a numerous amount of interests. As a multi-hyphenate, Monica continues to perform professionally as a dancer, actor, voice actor, and vocalist. She is also a part time fitness and yoga instructor.
She runs the social media for her band, The Hit List, which gives her a platform to nurture her creativity with videography/editing, logo creation, photography, and graphic design.

Monica's passion for adventure, nature, and public transit has also fueled a new endeavor - vlogs of her travels and adventures around the world, with a specific interest in exploring without a car. Monica attempts to see where she can go with just a bus, a train, or her own two feet.
